Rather than a fixed itinerary, here’s the shape of the week. “Definitely” are activities that will be suitable for all of us, and will certainly be happening, “Maybe” depends a bit on numbers, weather and energy levels, and “Self-organise” is there for you to dip into whenever suits as they’re activities more suited to smaller groups.
Definitely
- BBQs on the beach — we’ll do at least two of these, tide dependant, but likely Port du Moulin, Dixcart, or Grande Grève.
- Sunset picnic at Pilcher’s Monument.
- Walk from Hogs Back to morning cake and coffee at Sark Henge, followed by a visit to Derrible Bay (whole day, join for whichever bits you fancy).
- We’ll host something on Friday 3rd August — food and live music in a family friendly environment.
Maybe
Depends on numbers, weather and energy:
- Adventure Sark — coasteering, kayaking, and other outdoor fun around the island.
- A group meal at one of the hotels/restaurants, with separate entertainment for the children.
- Cheese and Wine afternoon.
- Little Sark party.
- Outdoor yoga or guided meditation at Sark Henge.
- Night swimming (adults only).
Self-organise suggestions
Things to dip into on your own time:
- Fishing off the harbour.
- Boat trip around the island (caves, coves, seabirds) — Sark Boat Trips run these from Creux Harbour.
- Horse and carriage tour — a proper Sark classic, good for a relaxed group outing.
- Stargazing at the observatory — Sark’s an official Dark Sky Island, worth an evening out.
